SparkBend is a conduit offset calculator app designed for electricians. The app helps you calculate exact mark points for conduit bends, including distance between bends and shrink values. We are transparent about our data practices and committed to your privacy.

SparkBend is designed with privacy in mind. The app performs all calculations locally on your device and does not require an internet connection to function.

3. What Data We Store

3.1 App Preferences Local Only

SparkBend stores minimal preferences locally on your device to improve your user experience:

Selected Bend Angle: Your last selected bend angle preference (30°, 45°, etc.)
App Settings: Any settings you configure within the app

Storage: These preferences are stored using iOS UserDefaults, which is a local storage mechanism on your device. This data never leaves your device.

Sharing: This data is never shared with external services, third parties, or transmitted over the internet.

3.2 Calculation Data

When you use SparkBend to calculate conduit offsets:

Input Values: The offset height and bend angle you enter are used only for calculations
Results: Calculated values (distance between bends, shrink) are displayed in the app

Storage: None of this calculation data is stored. It exists only in memory while you use the app and is cleared when you close the app or reset the calculator.

Sharing: This data is never shared or transmitted anywhere.

4. Third Parties & External Services

No Third-Party Services: SparkBend does not use any third-party services, APIs, analytics tools, advertising networks, or external data processors. The app is completely self-contained and operates entirely on your device.

SparkBend does not integrate with:

Analytics services (no Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, etc.)
Advertising networks
Cloud storage services
Third-party APIs
Social media platforms
Crash reporting services

5. Data Storage & Security

5.1 Local Storage

All data stored by SparkBend is kept locally on your device:

UserDefaults: App preferences and settings

                No Cloud Synchronization: SparkBend does not use cloud synchronization. 
                No iCloud, no CloudKit, no external servers. All data remains on your device.
            

5.2 Security

We take security seriously:

All local storage uses iOS standard security mechanisms
The app operates entirely offline, reducing security risks
No network communication means no data interception risk
The app does not request any sensitive permissions (no location, camera, microphone, contacts, etc.)

5.3 Data Retention

Data is retained as long as you use the app:

Local Data: App preferences remain on your device until you delete the app or reset your device
Calculation Data: Not stored - cleared when you close the app

6.1 Access to Your Data

Since SparkBend stores minimal data locally on your device:

All stored preferences are accessible through the app's settings
You can view and modify your preferences at any time

Since SparkBend does not collect or share any personal data, there is no data processing to object to. The app operates entirely locally on your device.

7. Permissions

SparkBend does not request any sensitive permissions from your device:

No location access
No camera access
No microphone access
No contacts access
No calendar access
No photo library access
No network access required

The app only requires standard iOS app permissions to function as a basic calculator application.

8. Children
